It was a windy one on Sunday, but that didn’t deter the 80 kids that stopped by to compete in the Fall Youth League Championship Tournament. Many thanks to the parents, coaches, and shooters who shot all ten rounds of the league, and to those who took part in this weekend’s event.
A special thank you to the Sauk Rapids Sportsman’s Club for providing the array of medals and trophies, and to Stearns County Pheasants Forever for the donation of Scheels gift cards. We would also like to thank Coach Todd Kobienia for being the point man and organizer of the league and tourney, and to Coach Joe Opitz for being instrumental to its success. Also thank you ANVIL foundation for being there on Sunday and this entire year, serving up some hot food and raising money for scholarships.
Congratulations to all the winners, both in the league and the tournament, as both teams and individuals. Below are a list of the winners. Check the photos for more scores. Have a great fall everybody!
Here are the big winners on the day.

There were no other teams that had a full squad of five present at the tournament, and therefore there are no other team scores to report. However, there were individual shooters from Apollo, Becker, Big Lake, Elk River, GFW, LeSuer Henderson, Milaca, Monticello, Sartell, and St. Cloud Tech. So, in total 16 schools were represented, and many of those shooters placed and did very well in individual competition.
