Day 2 of the Del-Monti Shoot took place at Del-Tone this past Sunday. The stage was set with nice weather and some high scores already established from the previous day at Monticello Sportsmen Club. This is a 2 day shoot with combined scores from both clubs going towards the trophy and special awards.
In the end it was Pete Walker taking home High Overall honors by setting a new Del-Monti record with a combined score of 586 x 600. In that score was 200 singles, 200 handicap, and 200 doubles targets. Pete took home the $200 and will have his name engraved on the giant Del-Monti trophy.
A big congratulations as well to Bob Wynnemer for winning the veteran category HOA on the combined singles and handicap scores with a score of 375. That score was good enough to win a $100 bill and some bragging rights.

Our next shoot and our final registered shoot of the year will be the historic, 61st annual Steer & Calf Shoot on September 9th & 10th. We are giving away a little something new to the “Steer” winner and the “Calf” winner both days, so stay tuned to see the information on that.
