DESCRIPTION:There’s a lot to shoot for next weekend (Sept. 6 & 7th) at the ATA registered 63rd Annual Steer & Calf Shoot @ Del-Tone Shooting Range.\n\n\n\nEach day we will be shooting 100 singles\, 100 handicap\, and 100 doubles. The highest combined singles and handicap score EACH DAY is declared the “Steer” winner\, and will win one of the beautifully engraved .36 caliber 1851 Colt Navy blackpowder revolvers. The 2nd place highest combined singles and handicap is the “Calf” winner\, and that individual will receive a 5 ounce silver bar.\n\n\n\nIn addition to that\, genuine\, brilliant uncirculated Morgan silver dollars from the 1800’s will be awarded to the class and category winners of Saturday’s “Dick Berger Doubles” event. Class & category winners for all other events will receive a $50 bill\, except in handicap\, where yardage group winners win the $50 bill\, and handicap champions each day get a $100 bill.\n\n\n\nIt’s gonna be a real shootout! Registration begins at 11:00AM with shooting at 12:00PM. The event will be 100 singles targets. We also have shoots scheduled for Feb. 1st & Mar. 1st.\n\n\n\nFor those of you not familiar with AIM\, it is the youth branch of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. For any jr. high to high school age shooters who plan to shoot competitively for many years to come\, this is the organization to belong to as it is the governing body for most the competitive trapshooting across the country. We have noticed\, and it is no small coincidence that many\, if not most of the states top high school shooters also compete in AIM/ATA\, so we highly recommend young shooters to get involved.\n\n\n\nThese are a great way for younger shooters to being shooting in the ATA\, stay competitive throughout the winter\, and shoot for medals and recognition on the various all-state\, all-zone\, and all-star teams. These are youth only trap-shoots. The scores are official and are registered with ATA. Shooters must be members of the ATA & AIM in order to compete. The cost for 100 targets is $36\, plus the daily ATA/MTA fees which total $8. DESCRIPTION:Not sure what to get your significant other this Valentines Day? Here’s your chance to really impress your sweetheart. Stop on out\, shoot in the jackpot\, have yourself a nice hot bowl of homemade soup\, and have a chance to go home with some prize money and a box of chocolates. Just imagine the look on his or her face when you come strolling in with a handful of cash and candy! In the event that you don’t hit it big\, you’ll still have some fun and get to hang out with friends. Better yet\, bring your better half along and spend the day together. \nFor those of you who are wondering\, a jackpot shoot is a laid back\, fun shoot with a chance to win some money back\, and in this case a box of chocolates will also go to the first six people with 25 straights (one per shooter max). In the event that there are not six 25’s\, we’ll go down to 24’s. Each round consists of 50 targets. The first 25 targets are shot from the 16 yard line\, and the second 25 targets are shot from a further back (handicap) yardage\, which is typically your 1st score plus 2. \nSo\, for instance if you break a 23 in your first round\, your second round will be shot from the 25 yard line. This assumes you are no further than 2 yards separated from the person shooting to either side of you\, and no more than 3 yards from anyone else on your squad. If that is the case you will need to step back as far as necessary to make that possible. Also\, if your assigned ATA handicap yardage is greater than your first score would place you\, you must shoot your ATA yardage. \nThe scores are added together for a total out of 50. They are then compiled from highest to lowest and broken down into classes\, which means you can still win in a lower class even with a less than stellar score. The more people there are\, the more classes there can be and the more money goes into the pot. The cost to enter is $22\, with $5 of that going into the payout. You may enter as many times as you like. Homemade soup is on the house. Shooting begins at 11:00am sharp\, so if you want a chance at the chocolate\, we recommend getting here early and getting on one of the first waves out.

SUMMARY:MN Permit to Carry a Pistol Class
DESCRIPTION:USCCA Instructor Josh Schmitz will be teaching the MN permit to carry a pistol class on March 28th. The classroom portion will be held at the Del-Tone industrial building with the live fire portion taking place at the range adjacent to it. The cost is $100 and the class begins at 8am.
