The Steer & Calf

One of the longest running shoots in the state, the 2024 Steer & Calf shoot will be held on Sept. 7th & 8th. This shoot harkens back to the days when Dick Berger would give away a live steer & a live calf each day of the shoot. While we no longer deal in livestock, we try our best to keep the spirit alive. The “Steer” winner from each day, that is the highest combined singles and handicap score, will win a beautiful blackpowder pistol, and the 2nd place “Calf” winner will take home a 5oz. silver shotgun shell.
NEW FOR 2024! Class champions in Saturday’s “Dick Berger Doubles” event will win a genuine Morgan Silver dollar from the 1800’s, as will the Ladies, Vet, & Junior champs – GUARANTEED.
